Temporalis

Function – when the temporalis is activated it closes the jaw.

Problems -  the horse will raise and pull the head away to relieve tension from pressure. Tight ill fitting brow bands can cause these muscles to become sore and uncomfortable which will effect  a consistency of head carriage.
